On my website, you can find music for wind orchestras, big bands, concert bands, marching bands, and smaller ensembles. In 2019, I began composing for wind orchestras and recorded the album Pihalni cirkus with the outstanding Orchestra of the Slovenian Armed Forces. Notable pieces from the album include Tri zvezde and Cirkus March, both of which have been widely performed across Slovenia. In recent years, I have also started composing for youth orchestras. My piece Po kraški gmajni received a special commendation at the Musikras competition.

Meet your composer
Rok Nemanič is a successful Slovenian trumpet player of the younger generation. His music path began in Sežana where he attended the local music school. He regularly participated in competitions in Slovenia and abroad and received many awards. He perfected his knowledge by attending seminars by world renowned trumpet players (Bo Nilson, Jim Rotondi etc.).
His schooling continued at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet Ljubljana. His first field of study was classical music under Peter Jevšnikar. In 2012, he also completed his study of jazz music under David Jarh. He played with the Big Band RTV Slovenia three times during a concert cycle »Young jazz musicians«. He continues to participate with the Big Band RTV as a substitute player. He finished his studies under Daniel Noesig and is now studying master of composition/arranging in class of Reinhold Schmölzer at the GMPU in Klagenfurt.
He is regularly working and recording with Slovenian big bands and is the founder of Balkan boys band and Pickpocket Swingers. In 2018, he was invited by EBU to be a part of the Euroradio Jazz Orchestra project in Latvia. In 2019, he started composing and arranging for different bands and orchestras. In 2021, the Balkan Youth Jazz Orchestra performed one of his compositions in Montenegro.

I have been playing the trumpet for over 25 years. Throughout my career, I have performed in more than 100 projects and contributed to over 20 albums. Workshops
I am passionate about sharing my knowledge of music, the trumpet, and my musical experiences. Did you know I offer workshops on trumpet playing, arranging, composing, and ensemble performance for big band and wind orchestra sections? Workshops are primarily designed for brass groups and orchestras. Feel free to contact me for collaboration opportunities.
